Prom 2009

Even though Saturday was Tim's birthday, I agreed to help my sister Tori get ready for Prom. She wanted to just wear her hair straight down, so I was mostly there to help her with her make-up.

She attended Redmond High School's Senior Prom with her boyfriend, Austin. (Tori is only a Sophmore, so she'll get to do this again in 2 years!)

Happy Birthday Tim!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TIM!!!

Today my partner and best friend turns 1 year older! Even though he doesn't like to make a big deal out of his birthdays - I DO!! I think it's important that he get a day all about him every once and a while. And of course this year Father's Day will apply to him too! :)

So Happy Birthday my love! I love you more than I can express in words and I don't know what I would do without you!

40 weeks and counting

Check out the baby timer on the right - it says 0 days, meaning today I am 40 weeks pregnant. Yep, today is my official due date. But still NO baby!

We had a doctor's appointment this afternoon and the first thing the doctor said when he walked into the room was, "I have NO idea why you are STILL pregnant!" HA! Well that makes two of us doc!

He checked me and I was hoping for some progress in the dilation department, but no I'm STILL only 1cm dilated! And he said that when he felt the baby's head, it felt like it floated up a bit, meaning that he's not totally engaged down yet. What is wrong with this child?

It was close to 90 degrees today and being this pregnant in the heat is NOT fun! I wonder if I'm really in for it with this boy if he's already starting stuff like this from inside the womb! Oh boy...

So I had to make yet another appointment for next week, and hopefully next time we will talk about induction if I'm still pregnant at that point. I'm REALLY hoping that we won't make it to the next appointment because Karsen will have decided to come by then. But honestly I'm starting to doubt that, as my appointment next week is on Wednesday instead of our usual Friday because the doc will be out of the office on Friday.

And for those of you who having been thinking that tomorrow would be an awesome birthday for my baby, I don't think it's going to happen! And I couldn't be more thrilled! (For those that don't know, tomorrow, May 30th, is Tim's birthday.)

Anyway, for those who may be curious as to what a 40 weeks pregnant Michaela looks like, here you go:

The ladies at the front counter at the doctor's office did say that I looked really good for being 40 weeks pregnant - which is always nice to hear! :)

39 Week Update

So I am now 39 weeks and 2 days pregnant and absolutely NO sign of this baby wanting to come out! I'm beginning to think that this little guy isn't going to want to come out until June....grrr!

I had my 39 week appointment with my OB Friday afternoon and he checked me and I'm only 1cm dilated - that makes no progress for 3 straight weeks! And to top it all off, it was my last scheduled appointment so I had to make another appointment for this coming Friday (my due date.) I went up to the scheduling desk and asked to make an appointment for next Friday for my 40 weeks. Apparently my doctor is booked that day, so the lady had to call someone to ask if my doctor would allow a double booking. Of course I couldn't hear what the person on the other end of the phone was saying but then the comment from the lady making the call was "it's a 40 weeker." Great - I'm one of "those".

My doctor did talk about induction but said that he doesn't like to do it until between 41 & 41 1/2 weeks because he would prefer for the labor to happen on its own. I of course would prefer for Karsen to decide to come out on his own, but part of me was a bit sad because that would put his birth date well into June and I have had it stuck in my head that I'm going to have this baby in May.

Anyway, Friday was also my last day of work until September, which seems weird to me and a little surreal. I don't think it really will hit me until Tim goes back to work on Tuesday. Actually we're hoping this baby will decide to come before then so that Tim doesn't have to go to work on Tuesday and take a few days off of work. And his work is going to let him work from home for 2 weeks after the baby is born too. Which will be awesome to have him home.

Anyway, just thought I would let any of you who actually read this know that there still is no baby yet.

Eviction Notice

Karsen Timothy Freitag

To the above tenant in possession of below described premises:

I am issuing an 8 day notice for EVICTION. You will have 8 days in which you can either gather your belongings and promptly vacate the premises, or wait until the final day. After which, you will be physically removed from the property.

You are being evicted due to breech of contract and destruction of property. Expansions only to the FRONT of the house, within reasonable limits, were discussed. Not only have these limits been exceeded, but additions to the back of the house were also made!

Remodeling and gutting of the home was never approved, nor was changing the initial layout and base structure. And due to property damage, there are now leaks in both the upper AND lower levels of the home. On top of which, the landlord has received numerous complaints about nightly disturbances.

After 8 days from this day that you don't comply with the notice will result in immediate and forceful removal at my discretion.

Better Late Than Never

So it's been a REALLY long time since I last posted and instead of trying to catch up on everything since last November when I posted last (and I didn't even finish that post either), I'm going to just basically start over.

So many of you may already know, but I'm pregnant!!! We're having a boy, due May 29th (yes, the day before Tim's birthday.)

We've decided to name him Karsen Timothy Freitag. (It took me awhile to convince Tim to use his name as the middle name but I felt it was appropriate since their birthdays would be so close.)

The original due date was May 13th but got moved to the 29th based on measurements taken during the first ultrasound. (I was really disappointed about that.)

Everyone thought that I would have him by now, but here I sit...still pregnant! Luckily tomorrow is my last day at work until September! WooHoo!

My goal is to keep this updated for anyone who may be interested in what's going on with us, especially with our new arrival coming soon!
